The Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo

by Juliette

When we visited Tokyo, we obviously went to see many traditional shrines and temples, walked along busy streets illuminated by countless billboards and ate a lot of food. But one of the most unique and peculiar things we visited was the Tsukiji Fish Market.

The Rikugien Gardens in Tokyo

by Juliette

There are not many places that struck me as much as this park that me and my sister explored on a wonderfully sunny day in Tokyo, and that is why I think it deserves a whole post to itself. Not only this place seemed to come straight out of a Ghibli movie, it was also very quiet and far from the busy streets of...

Daydreaming at the Tsars’ residences – Peterhof and Catherine Palace

by Juliette

Did you grow up in a royal family? Do you have a 15-bedroom villa in the countryside? Do you have very puffy (and impractical) dresses that you actually wear? If you answered ‘yes’ to at least one of the above questions, then we have very different lives.

Studying Russian in Russia for a month

by Juliette

I stayed in Russia for a month in order to study the language through language courses and immersion. It was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn or improve their language skills, as immersion proves to be very useful to truly learn a language.

Four Days in Budapest

by Juliette

Amazing architecture, delicious food, cool bridges, thermal baths, fairy lights and breathtaking views. This is how I would describe Hungary’s capital in a few words. Out of all the cities I’ve been to, this is probably one of my favourites. One of the few where I’ve thought “I could live here”. The warm and sunny weather obviously helped.
