Montreal is a vibrant and international city, associating perfectly its European heritage and a very modern and outgoing North-American style. There, you’ll find cute little streets with smaller houses as well as big skyscrapers, a rich cultural scene and a plethora of restaurants specialising in all sorts of different cuisines.
A few weeks ago, I went to Canada with my mum to visit my sister for around 10 days. While I spent most of my time in Montreal, we also booked a few nights in a cute chalet in the Eastern Townships area (Cantons de l’Est in French), which is located right at the border with the US. We stayed there for a short weekend to get away from the city and admire the beautiful foliage and nature.
Last year in March, I decided to take some time to visit my sister in Canada. It was my first time visiting North America, and, at first, I was a bit worried that the weather would be dreadfully cold and snowy. It was actually way better than I expected and I had a wonderful time.
One of Canada’s most famous products is probably maple syrup, thanks to its amazing deliciousness and sweetness. So, when I went to Canada last year, not only my suitcase was filled with maple-syrup-based food, I also had to make sure to be high on maple syrup during the whole week I spent there. This was a success.
