And just like that, summer already seems to be over. For many different reasons this month didn’t really go as planned, but I still feel like I managed to enjoy it and take a much needed break from all the things I always feel like I “need” to do. My favourite things about this month: Summer: I always feel like if the temperatures doesn’t reach at least 35°C, it’s not a proper summer. Well, finally we got to very high temperatures, in the South of France and in Brussels. It didn’t last very long but I’m still very happy that I could go out in the evening without being cold! Renewed motivation: in the past few months I struggled to feel motivated for my side projects, which mainly involve language learning. However, somehow, I got super motivated to work on a lot of different things lately. This new impulse gave me so much energy and a whole dose of positivity, which is why I put it on my favourites! Eating out: with the warmer weather …
In last month’s review I said that July was going to be the month of local adventures and of exploring Brussels a bit more… How far from reality that was! I’ve never seen such an awful weather in the month of July, which is really discouraging for local adventures!
Again, I can’t believe it’s already the end of June. I was so looking forward to the summer yet I feel like I haven’t accomplished a lot or done anything recently. It is obviously not true, but I guess I just wished I could have done more. As always!
By the time I realised that we were actually in May, the end of the month was approaching and now I can’t believe that tomorrow will be June 1st! Summer is upon us and I couldn’t be happier about it.
I feel like it was yesterday that I posted March’s monthly review, yet we are already at the end of April and the first real spring month has already flown by. That’s crazy. This month was pretty uneventful, but at least it was sunny!
I wanted to add a new type of content on my blog for some time now, introducing some sort of monthly recap of what has happened in my life, with smaller day-to-day things and adventures.
