October is one of my favourite months of the year, because all the leaves in the trees turn orange and red, the weather is “cosy cold” – as opposed to freezing cold – and it is also my birthday month. This year, it was very busy but at the same time amazing! My favourite things about this month: My latest trips and adventures Hobbies and distractions: General thoughts: There were a lot of exciting and new things happening in October, in all areas of my life, and with the last two weeks of holidays I have mainly felt incredibly grateful to be able to afford and have everything that I do. These past few months have also been really busy and as this was my last big holiday of the year, I am also longing for calmer weeks and going back to a nice routine in my place. Looking forward to: How was October for you? What are you looking forward to? Also published in October of previous years: My favourite things about summer in …
Even though September is supposed to be a summer month for the most part, this year it was really hard to forget that Autumn and Winter were on their way. Thankfully, I managed to extend the summer a bit with some holidays at the beginning of the month, but since I have been back to Brussels, it is mostly grey and rainy.
This month of May felt like the perfect spring-beginning-of-summer month, with warm sunny days and rainy ones, packed with outdoors activities and little adventures. It was also a month of planning and looking forward to summer holidays, which I can’t wait for!
April went by so quickly and was filled with amazing and beautiful things. It felt a bit hectic at times (what a surprise), but I really felt like I was making progress with my goals while still enjoying the spontaneity that the sunny weather allowed!
With a week spent in Iceland and two days in Amsterdam, I feel like March was very short and extremely eventful at the same time. I think that I managed to truly enjoy the glimpse of spring we’ve had and also the quiet times in between.
I know this monthly review comes very late, but I just came back from a trip and sadly didn’t have time to write anything before leaving or while I was away, so here it is!
This first month of the year felt very busy and really quiet at the same time. It seems like it flew by but also as if it had lasted 2 whole months. It was a good one though, I feel like I was able to do many things and to follow a bit my resolutions and goals.
Happy New Year everyone! 🥳 And like that again, another month comes to an end. December was cheerful, very busy but also relaxing. I very much enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere, even though I wish my holidays were much much longer…!
I haven’t been very active on this blog lately, because of the busy summer months, juggling between trying to find peace and quiet moments for myself and seeing people, going on holidays and enjoying the end of summer outside of my home.
I had been waiting for summer in Belgium basically since September last year but it was, sadly, very disappointing. The month of July especially, since we had rain for days, so much that the country was hit by disastrous floods. However, I was lucky enough to have some days off of work that I used to escape the cold weather and rain and go to warmer places with a lot of sun. I also took a bit of a break from this blog, so this monthly review will be a two-in-one that includes both July and August!
