My 2022 Autumn Bucket list

Already some weeks ago, the weather started to get rainier and colder, pumpkins started to appear in the stores, I seem to reach out to my blanket more and more, and sleeveless tops have been covered with chunky jumpers. It seems like Autumn is very much here, and even though letting go of summer is hard, I am quite excited for what this new season will bring – if it ever stops raining!

A few months ago (seems like yesterday!) I made a summer bucketlist, listing things that I wanted to do for the summer to create happy memories and basically just enjoy the season as much as possible, go outside of my comfort zone and just change my routine a bit. I liked this experiment and I also wanted to do it for Autumn!

How did the summer go?

Well, the point of it was never to tick off everything, and I obviously didn’t. Some of these things I could easily do without too much planning, like reading in the park, but others required a bit more planning and aligned schedules with my friends – which was more complicated than I had thought initially!

All in all, I’m really happy about how my summer went: I swam in the sea, made “seasonal” cold drinks and smoothie bowls, went on some road trips and watched many sunsets. I also managed to finish sewing a summer top and use my bike a lot!

The main things I didn’t do so much of were “touristy” things in Brussels, mainly because I wasn’t home much and when I was, I was busy unpacking, meeting friends and just chilling. But I do feel that I made the most of the summer, that is certain.

Autumn bucketlist

Now, I want to do the same for autumn, and I have to say that now that I have written this little list, I can’t wait to start ticking off some things, so here it is!

What is on your autumn bucketlist?

This is such a wonderful autumn bucket list! Mine are usually quite simple like admiring the fall foliage ( I mean, is there anything more quintessentially fall than soaking in all the beautiful colours of the fall foliage) and visiting a pumpkin patch and going for a fall picnic because it’s officially the best season of the year! Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

My autumn list is pretty simple, and I already completed it: getting a pumpkin spice latte! 😅🎃 I suppose another bucket list is to wear sweaters, but it’s still too warm here in LA to start wearing them…hope you enjoy whichever old film you watch (although how old is old? 10, 20, 50 years?) and Happy Fall!

Well, it’s sometimes better to aim for something simpler! I saw so many pumpkin spice related things online but it’s not really a thing here in Belgium/Europe, though it’s slowly coming! Is it ever cold enough to wear sweaters in LA? 😁
For “old movie” I was thinking maybe something black and white or with really bad CGI so at least 20 years? 😂

I miss the Canadian fall so much; in Europe it’s time to enjoy the great places without the crowds.

Oh yes, I’ll be going back to Canada this season as well and I can’t wait – I feel like fall there is just on a whole other level compared to Europe! Thanks for dropping by!

I find pumpkin to be a tough ingredient to handle with my amateur cooking skills, but I guess I should try something pumpkin too, even though we don’t have the seasons here in Malaysia. I’ve only experienced autumn once, lol. Maybe my bucket list should be to experience autumn more!

I can’t imagine not having seasons, and I will for sure be envious of it once winter comes, but there is something about them that I really like nonetheless! I really like the taste of pumpkin alon so sometimes I just roast it in the oven and put it in a quinoa or rice bowl! Let me know if you try it! Thanks for dropping by and I hope you’ll have a great “autumn” !

I’m so surprised to see “watch a horror movie” on there, although it’s absolutely awesome to do so, especially in October! If I could get your sister to do that, it would be a miracle in itself hahah Hope you enjoy autumn as much as you can before snow comes to ruin it all! 😀

Ahaha but some horror movies are really cool! I don’t really like the gorey stuff and I don’t watch a lot usually, but the month of October is just a perfect excuse for it! I?m very excited for autumn and I would also be excited for winter if we had a bit of snow from time to time ahah – though I can understand why you would say this!

Good luck on your list! I made homemade soup this week and it felt so autumnal. Next on my list – bake an apple pie! Yum.

Oh, amazing! I haven’t done any autumnal cooking or baking yet, apart from a delicious pumpkin risotto! I’d love to do an apple pie next too! Thanks for stopping by!
