Summer is definitely underway now and I already have a lot of things to share, holiday plans and goals and vision for the time of the year, which is probably my favourite. I feel like summer is the time of the year where I have more time, I dedicate myself to my hobbies much more and I just have more energy overall.
There are so many things I want to do this summer and I want to try to create special moments and memories linked to them, so I thought I’d do a summer bucketlist with some things that I think would make for a memorable and fun summer.
To make it easier, I mostly selected things that I can do in Brussels, where I live, and that don’t really require holidays or a lot of money. They are basically all experiences or things that will force me to get a bit outside of my routine and comfort zone!
Here’s the list!

What would be in your summer bucketlist this year?
I like your approach of listing things to make them happen. Summer in Brussels is also the time to visit the Royal Palace, the booking site was activated a week ago. Yes, I have booked my slot for my next visit, but maybe you have already visited it.

Very fun list. I love being a tourist in my city and I am planning to visit 2 museums soon.

That’s amazing! I know I usually visit my own city when I have people visiting me, but on a regular month I don’t do much, it’s such a shame! Thanks for reading!

A fun list for the summer! I’m on going to make a real attempt at trying all the ice-cream flavours before summer finishes. I better get to it!

Wow, that seems like a very ambitious goal, but I 100% approve it! 😁

I’d be totally on board with trying a new ice cream place, and especially trying new ice cream flavors! As well as going on a (short) road trip…to be honest, I’ve already done both this summer so far, but I hope to do them again! Hope it’s not too hot on your side of the pond, and I wish you a wonderful rest of the summer!

Ahah I specifically said new ice cream places because I feel like new ice cream flavours is way too far outside my comfort zone ahah, but it’s true that I should try that as well!
There are also a couple of things that I can already tick off that list but wouldn’t mind doing them again! Thanks for reading and have a wonderful summer too!

Good luck with all of these and I hope you able to do all of them! Being a tourist in my own city is one I’m working on right now too.

Thanks a lot! There are many things to discover close to home, and we often forget about them so I hope you’ll get to do more of that too! Thanks for reading and have a great summer!

Ooo! Water-colouring and reading outside do sound like great things to do, no matter the season. It’s been a while since I’ve been to an actual museum too, so I’m actually hoping to visit one sometime in my life, preferably outside my country. Wishing you all the best with your list!

Yes! now I feel like I should do these types of bucketlists for each season! I never visit my own city by myself so I look forward to discovering some museums and new places! Thanks for reading!

Trying new ice cream places sounds like a neat idea! I’ve been doing exactly the same thing in my city and so far I’ve found places that do really nice unusual flavors like jasmine tea and durian (if you don’t know what it is, it’s a fruit native to Southeast Asia that is so divisive one either hates it or loves it). Playing tourist in our own cities is I believe something many of us should try because we often know places far from home better than the city where we live. Enjoy your summer, Juliette!

Wow, Jasmine tea ice cream, that must be fantastic! I’ve never tried durian though, I’d be curious to try it as well! Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great summer too!

What a lovely list to motivate you to do the numerous things that cross your mind for this summer! I’ve been meaning to try a couple of these myself (now that I know what an authentic gelato tastes like, I have to figure out if there’s even a single place that does anything similar hahah). I hope you get around to completing your bucket list, Juliette! 😀

Thanks, Lashaan! I hope you’ll get to find delicious gelato in Montreal too! I can already cross off some things in the list, but a lot remains to be done!

This is such a cool thing to do – make a list and then have fun striking off the items when completed :-). Thanks for this post. I think I will do that now – to get out of my indecisiveness and “directionlessness”! First item on the list is to finish the drafts on my blog – http://reflectionsontheriver.wordpress.com
