I have been pretty busy lately so I didn’t really have time to write much. However, I did manage to squeeze in a tiny “local adventure”, right before spring turned to summer.
Not too far away from my house there is a huge field along the road. Nothing much to see there usually, but a few weeks ago, it started to turn red, as a massive number of poppies started to grow there. Every time I passed by with the car, I was amazed, and saw many people stopping to take pictures.
Instead of always being distracted while I was driving, I decided to go there one day to take pictures and enjoy the gorgeous view. I put on the most “flower field” appropriate dress I own just to feel like I was in a romantic movie, then headed out of the house with my phone to take pictures.
The pictures I took don’t really do it justice. The field was completely covered in bright red poppies, to the point that you could barely even see the green leaves in some areas, almost like a red carpet. A fresh breeze was blowing, forming red waves from one end of the field to another and creating a magical atmosphere. I was the only one there, and very few cars were passing by so it felt even more special, and I was really glad I took the time to go there and admire the view.
There is something about flower fields that I really like, and I can’t wait to go see the lavender and sunflower fields that we usually have in the South of France. They make for amazing pictures and great, short local adventures.
Where was your last local adventure?
